Nyakongo Secondary School

- Fishing is the primary source of sustenance

- Population: 180 Girls
- School Terms: 3 per year (Jan-April, May-August, Sept-Nov)
- Boarding: 150 boarders and 30 "day scholars"

- They do have a generator so the girls can study from 7-10:00 every evening
- Most classes have 1 book for every 8-10 students
- Freshman and Sophomores ("form 1 and 2") take 11 subjects
- Juniors and Seniors ("form 3 and 4") take 8 subjects

Makasembo Secondary School

- Location: West Uyoma, Kenya
- 1.5 Kilometers from Lake Victoria

- Located near a very impoverished village
- Fishing is the primary source of sustenance

- Population: 400 Students (295 boys and 105 girls)
